More than 3,000 people from Scotland, the UK, Finland, Sweden, Germany and Canada have visited the headquarters since 2009 to be inspired about the enterprise there. In April 2014, Living Planet named its headquarters in Brighton & Hove as one of its "Green Powerhouses" due to its continued efforts to reduce its carbon footprint and promote sustainable development. This vast area, covering more than 5 million hectares, is home to seven recognised ecoregions and many threatened species of plants and animals including the gorilla, chimpanzee, and forest elephant, as well as hundreds of species of birds.
